Watering restrictions in Genoa Lakes, Montana and Walley’s should be lifted today after a pump and motor failed on the Genoa Lakes Well about noon Wednesday. According to the county, the system stabilized and tanks recovered with the irrigation shut off. Residents should hear from their home owner associations when it’s OK to turn the sprinklers on again.
The Springs fire is being mopped up after hitting containment 6 p.m. Wednesday. There are still fire crews working on it, but they’ll be done before too long. The fire ended up costing $500,000 to fight according to the National Interagency Coordination Center morning incident report.
Today’s weather will look a lot like yesterday’s and very similar to Friday’s Expect a high temperature of 93 degrees under sunny skies. The wind will start to pick up around 10 a.m. increasing by 2 p.m.
