The R-C Morning Report
February 24, 2012
Remains found in a shallow grave in the desert above Stephanie Way are definitely human, but have yet to be identified, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
A cold front will bring gusty winds, but not much in the way of moisture with it when it arrives in Western Nevada tonight. The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory starting at 10 p.m. and lasting through 10 a.m. Saturday with the strongest winds between midnight and 8 a.m. Saturday. Expect winds 20-30 mph gusting to 50 mph. Wind gusts of up to 60 mph will blast through the foothills along the Carson Range.
All the moisture in the forecast has been pushed off to Monday, so today will be reasonably nice with a high temperature near 62 degrees and a calm wind picking up to 5 mph this afternoon. On the other side of the front high temperatures will drop back into the 40s, with the lows in the teens.
