Douglas County commissioners will hear an update on the economic vitality plan and hold a workshop at 3 p.m. today at the Carson Valley Inn in Minden. The agenda says it’s an opportunity to celebrate accomplishments, get project updates and find out what’s coming.
The Coleville Wolves are playing the Smith Valley Bulldogs tonight at the Wolves’ last home game. Coleville students are gathering donations for the military families displaced by the deadly propane explosion at base housing last week. Besides basketball, the rivals are in a clothing drive competition for the Salvation Army in honor of the families. Tip off is 6 p.m. Good luck to both teams.
The Carson Valley Arts Council is hosting a concert by Diego’s Umbrella 7 p.m. today at the CVIC Hall in Minden. There’s a wine reception at 6 p.m. Tickets are $15 each.
The chance that we’ll see some rain on Saturday hasn’t entirely evaporated as we’ve come closer to the day. The chance that it will rain or snow on Sunday night and Monday has increased. Today’s forecast is for mostly sunny skies and a high temperature of 62 degrees.
