Sentencing is scheduled for today in the Ahern burglary case. Jose Corona, 29, is facing up to 10 years in prison after DNA evidence gathered at the scene led investigators to him. His sentencing was delayed so that his attorney could prepare to defend him from the claim that Corona was involved in similar burglaries elsewhere.
A Minden man who allegedly caused a three-car accident on Highway 395 in Minden last September is scheduled to appear in Douglas County District Court this morning. John D. Bumgardner, 49, was arrested at his home in Johnson Lane deputies traced him to his home from a license plate that fell off his pickup at the scene of the Sept. 9 accident.
