Gardnerville Town Board members will discuss approving a preliminary funding agreement to acquire 7.73 acres of Helwinkel and Roberson land for not more than $200,000 using Question 1 grant money. They’ll also hear a request from the Family Support Council to install purple ribbons and light in downtown Gardnerville. The town board meets starting at 4:30 p.m. in their offices at 1407 Highway 395.
This morning District Judge David Gamble will be congratulating one graduate of the DUI court, Darryl R. Atchison, who began the program in 2008, and reviewing the sentence of two people who have been removed from the program. The DUI court was founded to help people who have multiple DUIs get and stay sober.
Expect isolated showers today before 11 a.m. and then partly sunny with the high hitting 66 degrees. Winds will be blowing 10-20 mph with gusts as high as 30 mph. The real rain is due in tonight after 11 p.m. and then on Wednesday.
