Teaching bears to run

Editor:

I was listening to a radio comment about bear awareness after the bear that was hit over in Genoa.

”Scare” them away…

I got to thinking about the state’s approval to hunt bears (limited) who have never been hunted in this area before, as opposed to other wildlife that has been hunted for decades, including deer, elk and so on.

With respect to those who like to hunt I am sure they have the proper documents.

So when the hunter enters the habitat where the bears are, if the bear sees a human being he will scamper off, climb a tree, because he does not want contact with a human. He will scamper off for fear of being killed.
