Tahoe transportation open houses set for next week

The Tahoe Transportation District is partnering with local, state, regional and federal agencies to host an open house regarding various projects from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday.
The open house will be held at Lake Tahoe Community College’s Duke Theatre at 1 College Drive.
Exhibits will feature the Stateline – U.S. Highway 50 Loop, Tahoe Lakeview Trail and others intended to reinforce the connection between area trails, roads and transit while promoting sustainable communities that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, according to a Wednesday statement.
The free event is open to the public for informational and input purposes on projects.
Free beverages and appetizers will be offered.
Attendees can talk with representatives from the Tahoe Transportation District and project partners from federal, state and local planning, public works and engineering departments.

Event co-hosts scheduled to attend include representatives from BlueGo, California Tahoe Conservancy, Caltrans, City of South Lake Tahoe, Douglas County, El Dorado County, HDR, Tahoe Metropolitan Planning Organization, Tahoe Regional Planning Agency, United States Forest Service and Wood Rodgers.
