Tahoe Rim Trail celebrates 30th year
The Tahoe Rim Trail Association’s 30th Anniversary Annual Meeting Celebration is Nov. 5 at the North Tahoe Event Center in Kings Beach, California.
The event will include an online auction at http://www.biddingforgood.com as well as a silent auction, buffet-style dinner, membership meeting, and presentation of volunteer awards.
The meeting begins at 5 p.m. with a silent auction and cocktail hour. After the cocktail hour, participants will enjoy a buffet-style dinner, presentation of volunteer awards, and a special historical presentation of the association’s 30 year history. Space for this event is limited.
Friends and founders from the early years will be in attendance and past memorabilia, pictures and lots of memories will be on display. The association is currently collecting memorabilia to showcase at the meeting.
In conjunction with the meeting, the TRTA, will also be hosting an online auction through the e-commerce website http://www.biddingforgood.com. We will have a host of auction items for the public to bid on that have been donated from businesses in the Reno-Tahoe area as well as the Sacramento and San Francisco Bay Area. Some of the items included are vacation trips, museum tickets, sporting events, hiking gear, ski tickets, restaurant gift certificates, hotel stays in Tahoe and much more! All proceeds will go directly to help the TRTA fulfill its mission. The online auction will officially open Oct. 24 and close on Nov. 12.
The cost for the annual meeting/dinner is $35 per person $60/couple through pre-registration online at http://www.tahoerimtrail.org. Those interested in the outdoors, recreation and the Tahoe Rim Trail and the Association are invited and encouraged to attend.
