Starbucks recently donated $500 to Gardnerville Elementary School through the Make Your Mark Program.
Sharyn Denison, who works for the Minden Starbucks as a barista, donated enough hours helping in Marilyn Pope’s second-grade class for the school to be a recipient of the donation.
Denison helps the students with word association, math, reading and other special projects. This is her eighth year of helping at the school.
