St. Gall offers new ministry for returning Catholics
October 27, 2001
Are you a Catholic who hasn’t been to church in a while? Do you miss being part of a parish family? Have you been thinking about returning to the Church?
If you would like to give the church another try, St. Gall parishioners are waiting to welcome you into their community for “Homecoming Weekend.”
“Homecoming” masses will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 at 5 and 6″30 p.m. (Spanish), and Sunday, Dec. 2 at 8 and 10:30 a.m. at St. Gall Church, 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville.
As a follow-up to the weekend, the church begins a new ministry called “Landings” Welcoming Returning Catholics.” Landings creates a safe harbor or landing place for returning Catholics to explore their faith and their future with the church.
During the weekend, Landing team members will be greeting, welcoming and furnishing information about the program before and after the masses.
Personal invitations to “Homecoming Weekend” will be sent the second week of November. If you, or someone you know, would appreciate a personal invitation, call weekend coordinators Betty Hertz, 775-782-2429, or Rita Hill, 775-783-9908.
