St. Gall announces Good Friday, Easter services

St. Gall Catholic Church in Gardnerville started its observance of Holy Week with Palm Sunday services.

The church hosts Year of Mercy Pray Path through Friday at the church 1343 Centerville Lane, Gardnerville, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Wednesday, noon-7 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday and Friday.

On Good Friday, there will be a live reenactment of the Passion 12:10 p.m. by the Hispanic Youth Group of St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral.

The public is welcome to watch the devotional representation of Jesus’ journey to Calvary.

The church will conduct the traditional Stations of the Cross followed by the Sorrowful Rosary at 2 p.m.

The traditional Good Friday Service will be at 7 p.m.

Holy Saturday’s Vigil of Easter is 8 p.m.

Services on Easter Sunday start with the 6 a.m. Sunrise Mass of the Resurrection, with 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services in the Church and Pastoral Center.

According to St. Gall its parish serves more than 1,500 families. The church was named for an Irish monk who served in Switzerland in the 600s.
