South Lake Tahoe police looking for suspect in USA gas station shooting

Authorities are looking for the man who shot and killed the U.S. Gas Station clerk in South Lake Tahoe on Tuesday night.
According to the South Lake Tahoe Police Department a patron discovered the clerk lying in a pool of blood at about 10:50 p.m. He called 911, saying the clerk needed immediate help.
Officers arrived within a minute and discovered the clerk didn't have a pulse. They tried CPR, but the clerk was declared dead at the scene. The man's identity has not been released.
Investigators said the man had been shot, which was confirmed by video surveillance. The video showed a lone, thin man, 5 feet 8-10 inches tall entered the store wearing dark clothing, including a black hoodie and a mask. During a brief encounter with the clerk, the man raised a handgun and shot him at about 10:40 p.m. The shooter then ran out the front. There is no further description of the man or his vehicle. Skin tone indicated he was fairly light. He is believed to be 20-40 years old.
The South Lake Tahoe Police Department is processing evidence, questioning witnesses and seeking help from area law enforcement agencies to help solve this homicide. Police are working with investigators from the El Dorado County Sheriff's Department and the El Dorado County District Attorney's office and the local FBI office in an effort to identify and capture the shooter.
