Slick conditions could be cause of Minden wreck
Gardnerville, Nev. — At least one person was transported after a three-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 395 north of Minden on Friday morning.
The collision was reported at 7:48 a.m. just south of Muller Lane.
Two sedans and a pickup appeared to be involved in the wreck, which closed Highway 395 briefly while emergency personnel responded.
One northbound lane was reopened after a few minutes. Southbound traffic was diverted down Muller Lane toward Monte Vista. Some motorists drove through Winhaven to Buckeye Road.
East Fork firefighters, Douglas County deputies and Nevada Highway Patrol troopers responded to the collision.
The NHP is investigating the cause, which may have been related to ice on the roadway.
Conditions at the scene of the collision were extremely slick, with rescuers having trouble keeping their footing on the highway.
