Sierra Lutheran recommended for dual accreditation
Sierra Lutheran High School has been recommended for a five-year dual accreditation term by the National Lutheran Schools Association and the Northwest Accreditation Commission, according to Executive Director Brian Underwood.
In an announcement issued Thursday, Underwood said the recommendation follows more than a year of self-study and preparation that culminated this week with a campus visit by a visiting team of educators associated with the NLSA.
“On behalf of the school’s board of directors, I would like to thank all the students, parents, community members, faculty, and staff who devoted an untold number of hours to bring this historic achievement to fruition,” he said. “It was this type of unified commitment that prompted the visiting team to specifically comment in its summary about the outstanding support it found from all corners of the SLHS community.”
