Shuttle is offered to Kirkwood
The Tourism and Marketing Committee of the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Authority, has arranged for a shuttle to take people from the Carson Valley to the Kirkwood Ski Resort. Kirkwood has contracted with Desperado Tour Co. of Stateline to provide transportation on Saturdays and Sundays.
Cost for the round trip is $5 per person. The shuttle will leave from the Carson Valley Inn at 8:30 a.m. and depart Kirkwood at 4:30 p.m. Reservations are required and may be made by calling (702) 586-9005. You must be 18 years of age or accompanied by an adult. Although the shuttle is aimed at the tourist market, local residents may utilize the service.
This is part of the continuing effort of the Tourism and Marketing Committee to promote the Carson Valley as the home base for skiers.
“Our ideal location near the ski slopes is perfect for tourists,” said Suzy Stockdale, chairperson of the Tourism and Marketing Committee. “We have been working on this for almost a year. Many thanks to Kirkwood and Debra Lang, Committee vice chairperson, for negotiating the agreement.”
