Secret Witness offers $1,000 reward for Valley vandalism information

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a series of vandalism reports that occurred Wednesday and Thursday in Minden and Gardnerville.

The incidents took place on Longleaf Place and Westwood Drive in Minden, and Petar Drive, Cavelti Road, and Canyon Court in Gardnerville.

Mail boxes and pumpkins were used to damage several vehicles parked in the areas.

Secret Witness is offering a $1,000 reward.

A mailbox was ripped from the ground in the 800 block of Longleaf and used to shatter the window of a vehicle parked in the driveway next door.

A few doors down, a similar incident occurred, but the mailbox did not break the vehicle window.

Two mailboxes were knocked off their post in the 800 block of Mahogany drive.

Pumpkins were smashed against vehicles on Oakwood and Westwood, but the windows were not broken.

In the 1700 block of Westwood, a mailbox was pushed over and the rear window of a vehicle was broken out.

According to reports, none of the victims heard or saw anything suspicious.
