Searchers looking for woman missing near Bear Valley

The search has expanded for a 71-year-old woman who has been missing from a Bear Valley campground since July 28.

Alpine County authorities are hoping someone stopped and gave Clipper Ridge, Calif., resident Rosalyn Saxsenmeier a ride.

Nearly 200 searchers from more than two dozen agencies are searching for Saxsenmeier, according to the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Facebook Page.

Three helicopters, six dog teams and a fixed wing aircraft are helping in the search.

Saxsenmeier was last seen at 2 p.m., wearing a yellow or blue short sleeve shirt, blue shorts and tennis shoes.

She was staying at the Silver Valley campground at Lake Alpine near Bear Valley. She has brown hair, brown eyes, 125 pounds and is 5-feet, 1-inch tall.

Rosalyn suffers from a medical condition and may become disoriented.
