Sealing work begins on Highway 88 Tuesday night
Night work will move to Highway 88 from the Carson Valley Swim Center to the California state line starting Tuesday.
Nevada Department of Transportation Spokeswoman Meg Ragonese said work sealing the highway will start 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Work will stop 4:30 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
“Because this is a two-lane road, we will have pilot cars in place to safely pilot drivers through the work area,” Ragonese said. “Travel delays of up to 30 minutes should be anticipated.”
Workers will spend one more night Monday on Highway 395.
“This is part of our proactive pavement preservation program through, which we preserve the roadway surface before it reaches time for more extensive and costly repairs,” he said.
