Melissa Schaffer of Corvallis Ore., and Curtis Wynar of Gardnerville were married July 13 at the Adrianna Hill Grand Ballroom in Portland, Ore.
The bride is the daughter of Thane Schaffer of New Mexico and Loni Schaffer of Portland, Ore. She graduated from Oregon State University in 2012, and works as a processing engineer at Milgard Windows and Doors
The groom is the son of Mark and Deborah Wynar of Gardnerville. He graduated from Douglas High School in 2008 and Oregon State University in 2012. He is an officer on the USS Alabama. Ensign Wynar has been stationed in Bangor, Wash., after graduating from Navy Nuclear Power School and Submarine Training.
The newlyweds make their home in Poulsbo, Wash.
