A reward is being offered for information leading to the culprits in two thefts that occurred at Stateline during Thanksgiving week.

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance in identifying a person of interest in the theft of a wallet and subsequent credit card fraud on Nov. 24 at Harrah’s Casino.

According to the sheriff’s office, the victim was walking through the casino at around 7 a.m. when her wallet fell out of her pocket. A man found the wallet and walked toward the security stand, but did not turn the wallet into security. The victim later found someone had used her credit cards.

Early in the morning of Nov. 27, someone took property from a vehicle parked at the Mont Bleu parking lot. The man suspected in the theft was captured walking into the casino.

A reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to the arrest and-or conviction of the suspect in either case. Your identity is not needed and you will remain anonymous. Anyone with information regarding this case is urged to call Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch at 775-782-5126 or Douglas County Secret Witness at: 775-78-CRIME (775-782-7463) or DCSO Investigator Jeff Schemenauer at 775-586-7257.
