Reward offered in pricy vacuum theft

Authorities are seeking this woman in connection with the June 20 theft of a Dyson vacuum cleaner.

A reward is being offered for information leading to the conviction a woman who walked out of the Gardnerville Walmart with an expensive vacuum cleaner without paying.

According to the Douglas County Sheriff Office, the woman was seen 9 a.m. June 20 walking into the garden center with a Dyson V-6 Slim vacuum in her shopping cart.

The cheapest model of the vacuum retails for $240, according to Walmart.com

She got into a white Ford Escort containing two other women, which was parked in the store’s lot, and left heading north.

The woman is described as being in her 20s, with red hair. She was wearing a black tank top and jeans when she left the Grant Avenue store.
