Reward offered for launderette burglar
A $500 reward is being offered in the Oct. 19 burglary of Gardnerville’s Village Launderette.
A man entered the launderette at about 6 a.m. and pried open four machines to get at the coin boxes.
Owner Jeff Pisciotta said the burglar took about $500 in quarters and did about $4,000 in damage to the washing machines.
Pisciotta said he saw the man sitting on the bench along Highway 395 when he pulled into the parking lot.
The launderette’s security cameras caught the man, who is in his late 20s or early 30s, wearing a maroon zip-up hoodie, black jeans and a dark blue collared button-up shirt. The man was wearing dark rim glasses, and a beaded necklace. He appeared to be in the early stages of growing a goatee.
