February 15, 2012
Secret Witness has increased the reward to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of a suspect in last weekend’s armed robbery of a Minden convenience story.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office released photos from the crime which occurred at the J&M Mini Mart on Highway 395 in Minden about 8:45 p.m. Feb. 10.
“We are seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect or vehicle involved,” said Sgt. Jim Halsey.
A man wearing a dark-hooded sweatshirt, mask and gloves, entered the store, pointed a handgun at the clerk who was cleaning up inside, and demanded all the cash in the register be placed inside a nylon bag that the suspect provided.
He fled the store in a vehicle waiting outside the store which may have been a Jetta or an Audi and headed into Minden.
The clerk was uninjured, and the suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
