Ranchos man to be arraigned on burglary charges

A Gardnerville Ranchos man arrested two days before Christmas for burglary after he allegedly took $636 in merchandise from the Walmart is scheduled to be arraigned in Douglas County District Court today.

Charles David Yale Austin, 31, was arrested on Dec. 23 after deputies received a report he’d left the Walmart with four hard drives and a couple of Web cameras and was headed toward nearby Four Square Church

Deputies located him in the bushes behind the church.

Austin was arrested two weeks before on a drug charge and was out on bail for that charge when he was arrested again.

Perkins appointed Tod Young to serve as Austin’s attorney and set bail at $50,000.
