R-C Morning Report for July 20

Genoa, Nev. — Residents and businesses in the vicinity of Douglas Avenue are forming a Neighborhood Watch. They’re meeting at Trinity Lutheran Church for a potluck 5 p.m. Sheriff’s spokesman Sgt. Pat Brooks will be the speaker. The watch plans to meet every third Monday.

Reno resident Robert Blaik Jorgenson, 34, is scheduled to be arraigned on a count of possession of a controlled substance this morning. In a plea deal, the charge was upgraded to a Class D felony. Jorgenson is asking to participate in Western Nevada Regional Drug Court.

There’s a pretty good possibility of thunderstorms today after 11 a.m. Otherwise expect partly sunny skies and a high temperature of 85 degrees.
