R-C Morning Report
January 10, 2012
Developers of The Ranch at Gardnerville phase 1 are seeking the modification of parcel boundaries as a result of changes to road improvements and alleys at the regular meeting of the Douglas County Planning Commission 1 p.m. today. Planning commissioners will also be reviewing the 15-year update of the master plan.
Douglas County School Board trustees will discuss defining new areas of representation for the purpose of elections. Three options will be presented to the board. The areas determine where a school board trustee must live, but all trustees are elected at large. Also up for discussion is the sale of Kingsbury Middle School. The school board meets 3:30 p.m. at Zephyr Cove Public Library. The good stuff starts at 6:05 p.m.
It’s the 67th day without measurable precipitation so far this winter. On Sunday when I looked at the National Weather Service site, it said we might see some moisture today, but that’s been replaced by partly sunny skies with a high near 51 degrees. It’s 16 degrees outside this morning in Genoa. I expect it’s colder down by the river.
