Quest brings testing to Valley

by Sharlene Irete

Quest Diagnostics new patient service center offers a convenient way for Carson Valley residents to have diagnostic lab work done without having to drive to Carson City or Reno, operators said.

Patients who receive requisitions or lab orders from their doctors can have urinalysis, fecal samples and diagnostic blood testing done in Minden.

“We get people in and out quickly – no wait times,” said Denise Lafferty, Quest Diagnostics service representative.

“We reduce anxiety time – there’s a fast turnaround,” said Lafferty. “We put patients first in everything we do.”

Sharon Roach rotates her position as phlebotomist with Quest staff from the Carson City office. She describes the office as “nice, new and clean.”

“We can accommodate several patients at one time. There are two draw rooms with lots of room to grow,” said Roach.

“The parking is very accessible – right in the front door and there you are. It’s especially good for handicapped or elderly patients,” she said.

Quest Diagnostics is at 1702 County Road, Suite B in Minden. They are open from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from noon to 4 p.m, Monday through Friday. Information at 783-0609.
