Prebezac named banking relationship manager

Staff Reports

City National Bank has named Ursula Prebezac as the new business banking relationship manager for Northern Nevada.

Previously, Prebezac served as a relationship manager for the bank’s commercial banking services group in Carson City and Minden.

Prebezac is a 35-year veteran of the banking industry and has been with City National for the past 10 years.

In her new role, Prebezac will be part of the bank’s core banking group responsible for developing and managing client and prospect relationships in her assigned business segment and supporting multiple branch locations. Developing new business through booked loans and deposits, treasury and wealth management, international banking and much more will be her primary focus.

Prebezac is part of the bank’s new emphasis on companies with revenues between $3 million to $20 million. Previously, the commercial banking services group in the bank was handling companies with revenues in this range. The commercial group now handles companies with revenues over $20 million, while the branches are tasked with servicing the banking needs of small businesses with revenues under $3 million.

Prebezac will spend time working out of the bank’s three full-service banking offices in Northern Nevada, including the Minden office at 1647 Highway 395. She reports directly to Bruce Ford, senior vice president and Nevada regional business banking manager for City National.

“We are very excited to have Ursula join our growing team of business banking relationship managers in Nevada,” Ford said. “She is a proven leader and someone who can have an immediate impact on our growth numbers and increased market share in Northern Nevada. Ursula was very successful on the commercial side of the bank and will no doubt have the same success in her new role.”

Prebezac joined City National’s predecessor, Business Bank of Nevada, in 2002 from Colonial Bank, where she served as the area president for Lake Tahoe and Carson City. She also worked for Colonial’s predecessor, First Security Bank, as a commercial loan officer and for the Nevada Banking Co., where she began her Nevada banking career in 1982.

Prebezac began working in the banking industry in 1978 as an assistant treasurer and branch manager with Glastonbury Bank & Trust in Glastonbury, Conn.

Prebezac currently serves as a board member with the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce, as a Court Appointed Advocate for Children of Douglas County, and as a volunteer for Kids and Horses in Minden.

She is also a past member of the Tahoe/Douglas Chamber of Commerce, Republican Women, and Soroptimist International.
