Special to The R-C |

In keeping with the Eagles & Ag Carson Valley theme, the Carson Valley Photo Club had 22 entries for their March contest.

“There were so many fabulous entries that our judge, Burton ‘Chuck’ Diephuis, had a hard time judging,” President Nancy Hulsey said. “I’d like to thank Chuck for his three-month tenure as our contest judge.”

First place went to Jackie Gorton with her photo entitled “Wool Coats.” The second place winner was Lavon Wiseman with his photo of a bull in a snowstorm. His entry was titled “Damn Snow.” The third-place winner was Gorton. Her photo was titled “Got Milk.”

The club’s next meeting is 6:30 p.m. April 12 at the United Methodist Church, 1375 Centerville Lane in Gardnerville.

The public is welcome.

The next photography contest judge will be retired Douglas High School and WNC photography teacher Mary Kay Kalusa. She will be the judge for the next three months.
