Pedestrian in critical condition after being hit in Stateline

A 31-year-old Carson City man was severely injured early this morning when was struck by at least one and maybe multiple vehicles.

The man was walking along the eastbound lanes of Highway 50 just east of the MontBleu Resort, when he was struck around 3 a.m., according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

A Samaritan who spotted the man and turned around to render aid told Nevada Highway Patrol troopers he saw a blue Dodge pickup hit the man while he was lying in one of the eastbound ravel lanes..

The man was taken by ground ambulance to Barton Memorial Hospital before being helicoptered to Renown Regional Medical Center by CalStar.

He is in critical condition, and trooper are trying to make contact with his family before releasing his name.
