As of Monday, Douglas County remains the most populous of the three counties in Nevada to meet all the criteria set by the state and the White House.
According to the county tracker, Douglas is averaging 135 tests a day, with 179 cases over the previous 30 days and a positivity rate of 5.1 percent.
While acknowledging that Nevada is seeing an increase in coronavirus cases, on Tuesday Gov. Steve Sisolak didn’t announce any additional measures to slow its spread.
Douglas County peaked at 42 active cases of the virus on Monday, a level not seen since Aug. 9. That backed down to three-dozen on Tuesday after 12 recoveries and six new cases were reported.
As of Wednesday evening, there were 34 active cases in the county.
