A new multi-use path from the Zephyr traffic signal to Warrior Way is complete.

“This was a partnership with the U.S. Forest Service where Douglas County funded the northern half from the horse stables to Warrior Way and a connection to the road that leads to the ball park, tennis courts and Frisbee golf,” said Douglas County Transportation Engineer Jon Erb. “The county used Tahoe Transportation District funding designated for pedestrian and bicycle use.”

Erb said the Forest Service designed and managed the project and funded the south half from the stables to the Zephyr Cove signal.

“The path is a vital link to accommodate pedestrians and bicycles to a safe signalized crosswalk across a busy Highway 50,” he said.
