Muller to be closed on Friday
Muller Lane will be closed for sealing through 2 p.m. Friday, according to the Nevada Department of Transportation.
Work will begin at 7 a.m. on the entire length of the route between Foothill Road and Highway 395.
Spokeswoman Meg Ragonese said that while the road will be closed to through traffic, residents, emergency and essential services such as the U.A. Postal Service will still be able to access Muller Lane via traffic flaggers stationed at both ends of the road.
The state maintenance crews will be placing a flush seal on the roadway surface of Muller Lane, she said.
Consisting of a top layer of oil, the flush seal will help reseal and rejuvenate the asphalt for longer roadway life.
The work is part of NDOT’s proactive pavement preservation program through which state roadway surfaces are preserved and resurfaced before reaching time for more extensive and costly repairs.
The surface of Muller Lane was last sealed four years ago.
