Motorists can expect delays on county roads
Motorists on Johnson Lane will face delays through mid-October as crews revamp the road.
Granite Construction Co. will be widening the road at some intersections, installing gutters and repaving the entire road, said Ed Mason, an associate civil engineer with the Douglas County Community Development Department.
Mason said drivers can expect some lane closures, and pilot cars will be used to guide traffic during the repaving process, which is scheduled to start the week of Oct. 15 and last three days.
The Johnson Lane work is part of an $873,716 project that also covers part of Tillman Lane in the Gardnerville Ranchos.
The Tillman job includes utility and concrete work, plus some repaving. That work is scheduled to be completed at the end of the month.
Mason said the work will affect Tillman between Dresslerville and Kimmerling roads.
