Genoa, Nev. — A moisture-laden storm system will continue to drive thunderstorms through Carson Valley today. A flash flood warning is in effect for Western Nevada and eastern California from noon to 9 p.m. today.
Genoa Town Board members will discuss setting up Wifi, which will allow visitors to use their digital devices to post photos and notes about Nevada’s oldest town without using up their data plans. Funding would come from the redevelopment agency. Genoans meet t 6:30 p.m. in the town offices.
Gardnerville Town Board members will discuss maintaining the new landscaping installed by the Overland between the curb and sidewalk along Gilman Avenue. Gardnerville meets 4:30 p.m. in their town offices.
It’s going to be quite a bit cooler out today, with the high hitting 84 degrees under mostly cloudy skies. Expect the wind to be calm except where there are thunderstorms, which could produce between a quarter and half-inch of rain.
