Mormon Station hosts firefighting information event

Sierra Front firefighters from a half-dozen agencies will be at Mormon Station State Historic Park on Saturday for a presentation on living with fire.
Agencies include East Fork Fire & Paramedic District, the Nevada Division of Forestry, the State Fire Marshall’s Office, the Bureau of Land Management, the US Forest Service, The Citizens Emergency Response Team, the Genoa Volunteer Fire Department, and Douglas County Search & Rescue.
Representatives will distribute information 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Several types of emergency response vehicles will be at the park, including engines, water trucks, brush trucks and jeeps. The event is hosted by Nevada State Parks.
