Missing Minden man found
After being missing for a week in Amador County, Calif., a Minden resident turned up Monday at about 11:35 a.m.
David Maule, who lives with his parents Bob and Betty Maule in Minden, disappeared the evening of Sept. 1.
He was driving to Minden from Fresno on Labor Day and pulled off Highway 88 to rest, according to the Amador County Sheriff’s Office.
When he tried to leave, his truck was stuck and he walked to a business to use the phone, according to authorities.
The phone was inoperable and Maule walked into the woods, the news release said. He wandered around in the isolated area until Sept. 8, when he walked into Tiger Creek Powerhouse in Amador County.
Maule was taken by ambulance to Sutter Amador Hospital, suffering from minor scrapes and hunger. He was checked and released.
Sheriff’s deputies had no other details.
