Minden studio highlights three new smiling faces
Nyona’s Studio 395 in Minden has three new employees to serve customers.
Gardnerville resident Heesuk Song specializes in nails.
“I can do manicure, pedicure, acrylic, gel and nice freehand design,” she said. “I have many awards in freehand design.”
Long-time Gardnerville resident Michelle Ives is an esthetician specializing in skin care.
“I have worked in the corporate spa environment. My goal is to have my own client base that I serve on a regular basis,” she said. “I am certified in body sugaring, removal of superfluous hair using 100 percent natural sugar paste. I also offer customized facials, back facials, and superficial to moderate peels.”
Fellow long-time Gardnerville resident Laura Wilson is a hair stylist with nine years of experience.
“I worked at Lulu Hair Salon (Harrah’s at Tahoe) for seven years and at different salons in Carson City,” she said. “I like to do every thing: hair cut, permanent, color, highlights, sets, etc., and I speak Spanish.”
Nyona’s Studio is located at 1687 Highway 395, Suite 1, Minden.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and Curves of Minden continues to work to raise awareness in women about the life-saving importance of risk management, early detection and treatment.
Throughout the month, Curves of Minden women’s fitness center is waiving the joining fee for new members who show proof of a mammogram within the past year or make a $25 donation to breast cancer research.
“Curves mission has always been to strengthen women,” said staff members of the Minden Curves. “Everyone here at Curves of Minden is proud of the role we play in helping to educate women about breast cancer risk factors and the importance of maintaining a healthy weight, exercising regularly and making their own health a priority.”
