Medical Centerto offer $50 mammograms this Saturday
October 24, 2015
Carson Valley Medical Center will be recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month by offering $50 mammograms on select dates. Screening mammograms followed by a chair massage will be offered 7 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday.
Registration is now open at http://www.cvmchospital.org/mammo. This is a public service offered by Carson Valley Medical Center to encourage women to get screened for early detection of breast cancer. The American Cancer Society recommends that women age 40 and older should have a mammogram every year and should continue to do so for as long as they are in good health. The discounted screenings will be offered at Carson Valley Medical Center's Gardnerville offices, 1107 Highway 395.
Additional Breast Cancer Awareness Month activities at Carson Valley Medical Center include a presentation by Registered Dietician Renie Tharp on Saturday, discussing nutritional approaches to cancer prevention. For more information on the screening mammograms and other upcoming events, contact 782-1637.
