Man taken into custody for theft
A Gardnerville man, who was wandering south Gardnerville wearing a set of pajama bottoms, was taken into custody for vehicle theft on Monday.
Bobby Tresner, 53, was contacted by deputies after there was a 3:10 p.m. report of a possibly intoxicated man near Highway 395 and Virginia Ranch Road.
Tresner refused service at the hospital and was taken home by deputies, who asked him about a prior theft of which he was suspected.
Tresner reportedly admitted to the thefts, providing information to where deputies could find the stolen property.
Deputies located the stolen property at Tresner’s home and arrested him for grand theft auto and possession of stolen property.
He was booked into the Douglas County Jail, His bail has been set at $27,506
