Library Halloween party before Nevada Day closure

Staff Reports

Before closing their doors in observance of Nevada Day, Douglas County Public Library encourages area children to don their Halloween costumes a few days early for pizza, candy and stories.

Children in first through sixth grades are invited to the library in Minden at 5 p.m. on Monday for a Halloween party.

Halloween stories will be read; pizza, candy, and drinks will be served.

There will be a Halloween costume contest with a prize for the winner.

A jar filled with candy will be awarded to the child who makes the best guess at the amount.

This free event is sponsored by the Friends of the Douglas County Public Library.
