Laxalt to host Basque barbecue at Corley Ranch
Nevada Attorney General Adam Paul Laxalt’s Morning in Nevada PAC website is selling tickets to his Inaugural Basque Fry barbecue at Corley Ranch in Gardnerville on Aug. 15.
The website can be found at http://www.morninginnevadapac.org
The event will feature a number of national Republican leaders, including presidential candidates Dr. Ben Carson, businesswoman Carly Fiorina, U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz and former New York Gov. George Pataki.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and former Ambassador John Bolton will also be in attendance.
Laxalt will be joined at the Basque Fry by Nevada State Sen. James Settelmeyer R-Minden, as well as representatives from the Douglas County Republican Central Committee and the Nevada Federation of Republican Women.
“It is exciting for me to host a Basque barbecue at one of Nevada’s most historic, Western working ranches,” Laxalt said. “And to kick it off by not only celebrating my family’s Basque heritage, but also celebrating Nevada’s first-in-the-West contest makes this event truly unique. This will be a great opportunity for many Nevada voters to meet these candidates and leaders. We are thrilled that so many national figures have decided to attend.”
Individual tickets can be purchased for $35, or $50 per couple. Kids are free and there will be a special VIP offered package, as well.
The Morning in Nevada PAC was created by Laxalt’s friends to help fund conservative causes, candidates and organizations.
Laxalt, 36, is a former U.S. Navy JAG officer who served in Iraq during the U.S.-led surge, and became Nevada’s Attorney General after a tough election last year.
Laxalt is the youngest state attorney general in the country. Morning in Nevada PAC seeks to help recruit and support other conservative young men and women who wish to serve in elected office, according to its website.
