Library Closures

Douglas County Public Library at Minden and Zephyr Cove will be closed today and Saturday in observance of Nevada Day. The Minden library will reopen 10 a.m. Monday. The Zephyr Cove library will reopen 11 a.m. Wednesday. Information, douglas.lib.nv.us or 782-9841.

Safety Street

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office and The Record-Courier host Trick or Treat Safety Street 3-8 p.m. Saturday at CVIC Hall, Esmeralda Avenue, Minden. Raffles, best adult, child family costume contest. Cost, $3 per child. Information, DCSO Youth Services, 783-6441.

Fall Festival

Calvary Chapel hosts annual Harvest Festival 5:30 p.m. Saturday at the Douglas County Fairgrounds, Pine Nut Road, Gardnerville. Warm, safe alternative to trick-or-treating.
