Highway patrol sets up crosswalk sting
The Nevada Highway Patrol will be looking for motorists who don’t yield to pedestrians in crosswalks May 7-13.
Trooper Mark Zacha said officers will be posted near crosswalks in Minden and Gardnerville at unannounced times and will be issuing citations to motorists who don’t stop for pedestrians.
The action is part of an ongoing enforcement and education effort. Similar stings have been done in Carson City and Reno.
