Health Link open through May 30
Nevadans who were unsuccessful in signing up for health insurance on the NevadaHealthLink.com website because of technical issues have until May 30 to finish the process.
“Nevada Health Link understands that many Nevadans experienced technical difficulties while attempting to purchase health insurance through the Nevada Health Link website, and wants to ensure anyone who attempted to enroll before March 31, 2014, still has the opportunity to sign up,” said Steve Fisher, Interim Executive Director of the Silver State Health Insurance Exchange.
To finish their applications, and select and pay for income-based health insurance plans, qualifying Nevadans should call 855-768-5465.
Nevada Health Link can assist over the phone or provide contact information for one of Nevada Health Link’s in-person assisters. With locations across the state, Nevada Health Link’s partner organizations have people who can walk Nevadans through the enrollment process in person and help them successfully enroll for coverage.
Some Nevadans may qualify for financial help from the federal government with their insurance costs. Nevada Health Link offers certified health insurance plans that are high quality, regardless of the amount a person pays; applicants won’t be denied, even if they have a previous health condition.
“Nevada Health Link remains committed to helping connect Nevadans to high-quality, income-based health insurance, and invites all Nevadans who were unable to complete and submit their application due to technical issues to call 855-7-NVLINK to get personal assistance,” Fisher commented. “With this special enrollment period, these people who qualify will have until May 30, 2014, to complete their applications.”
