Half-dozen hurt in Tahoe wreck
March 2, 2015
Icy roads are being blamed for a collision on Highway 50 Saturday morning near Hiddenwoods at Lake Tahoe.
According to the Nevada Highway Patrol, six people were transported as a result of the 8:48 a.m. accident.
A silver 2005 Toyota Camry driven by Paul P. Yang, 33, of San Diego with three passengers was eastbound on Highway 50 traveling too fast for conditions, according to a preliminary investigation.
Trooper Dave Gibson said the Toyota crossed the median into the westbound lanes and into the path of a Volvo driven by Carson City resident James Killebrew. The Camry came to rest on its wheels in the median while the Volvo was on the westbound shoulder.
All six occupants were transported with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
