GRGID seeks input on new Ranchos name
The Gardnerville Ranchos General Improvement District Board of Trustees voted at their Feb. 2 board meeting to change the name of the district prior to the naming of the new post office which will locate within the district in the next year. The board would like input on the name change from all residents of the Ranchos. The board will act on the name change at a Board of Trustees meeting this spring.
At that time, the district will go over the names with the residents who are present at the meeting, and come to a consensus opinion.
Final approval of the name change will be requested from the Douglas County Commission. Residents are requested to submit their suggestion in writing to the District Office, 931 Mitch Dr., Gardnerville Ranchos 89410.
Any resident who has questions may call Bob Spellberg, district manager, at 265-2048.
“The Board of Trustees hopes for a large response from the Ranchos residents as this will be the name of your community,” Spellberg said.
