Free Douglas County Hope and Healing grief camp set for July 20

Douglas Center for Hope and Healing has moved their office, but have not let the move hinder event planning.
Previously located on Lucerne in Minden, the center now has an office in the Mountain View Professional Center.
The new address is 1528 Highway 395, Suite 215 in Gardnerville.
On top of the move, Hope and Healing has kept the ball rolling planning their free grief camp.
Camp Hope 2016 will be July 20 at the Round Hill Pines Resort at Zephyr Cove.
The camp is open to children and teens ages 7-17 who have experience the death of a loved one.

Camp is limited to 20 participants and registration is required, so do so early, organizers said.
Transportation to and from camp is not provided.
Camp will be followed up by a family barbecue for campers and their immediate family.

■ The center and the Active 20/30 Club have teamed up to host Summerfest 2016: Brats, Band and Brews 2-6 p.m. Aug. 20.
The event will give the community a chance to come together to crown a brat champion as well as raise funds for the center.
A raffle with take place alongside live music from local favorites Trippin' King Sankes, Dougie L and Friends and Jakota Wass.
Tickets are $40 for food and beer, $20 for food or beer and $5 for kids' hot dog.

■ Douglas Center for Hope and Healing provides monthly support groups for those dealing with the loss of a loved one.
The groups meet the second Wednesday and fourth Thursday of the month and are geared towards children, teens and adults.
Groups are free and meet from 6-7 p.m. at the center.
