Tahoe-Douglas Elks Lodge 2670 has been awarded an Elks National Foundation Beacon and Promise Grant to help children at Meneley Elementary School in the Gardnerville Ranchos.

Lodge 2670 will provide school supplies, winter clothes and other necessities directly to the children and their parents at events at the Elks Lodge several times during the school year.

Lodge members are also making significant donations.

School supplies were provided to children on Sept. 14 at the lodge and directly to the school for those families who were not able to make it to the lodge event.

Winter clothes for the children will be provided Oct. 26 at the lodge.

Chairman Tom Zogorski has been working with principal Becky Rugger to make sure the supplies and clothing donated are the ones needed.
