Driver in Highway 50 wreck taken into custody
A motorist, who was earlier reported driving recklessly, was taken into custody for allegedly driving under the influence after a wreck that closed Highway 50 near Presbyterian Curve on Tuesday afternoon.
The collision was reported at about 11:40 a.m., and involved two vehicles, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
A juvenile injured in the collision was transported by CalStar to Renown.
Highway 50 was closed while the wreck was cleared and the investigation was conducted. It was open by 1:35 p.m.
Douglas County deputies took the driver to be medically cleared for jail.
